January would be the month when I stopped writing here. It wasn’t intentional. Life just got busy (good busy) and I decided to not worry about making time to write about it.

The fact that I’m writing this post doesn’t necessarily mean I’m going to start writing here again on a regular basis. Only time will tell.

In January I wrote about my goals for the year and my amazing yoga weekend in Portland. So now I will fill in the holes.

Lots of family walks.

So many house projects. This is a night stand Sonny made for our room. Details on the big bedroom remodel in a separate post that will hopefully be coming soon.

We went on a McKenzie River Trail hike at the beginning of the  month to celebrate Lauren’s birthday. There was a big group that went. Some people hiked and some ran. I didn’t run because I was (and I’m still) having knee issues.

Me and Max.

Tea + snacks at Yoga Pearl.

I have read some good books lately. (not sure why I can’t get this photo larger)

I have been running. But only a few miles a couple times a week. It’s all my knee can handle right now.

Walking with Max again. This happens daily.

Back in January I was still swimming. Spoiler… I’m retired again.

We had over a week of fog. Thick fog that didn’t move.

Date balls are a delicious snack.

We installed a hard wood floor in our bedroom. More info to come.

One of my goals for the year is to get healthy, which means I’m on a mission to figure out what foods bother my stomach so I don’t feel like crap all the time. Part of this mission included doing a detox. Don’t worry, it wasn’t a scary detox where all I did was drink lemon juice + cayenne pepper. It was a safe one. I was supposed to drink the above tea but is was SO GROSS and bothered my stomach so I only drank it one day.

Lots of yoga at home.

I made almond milk for the first time. It tastes so much better than the store bought stuff. I used this recipe from Choosing Raw.

I enjoy everyday we get to see the sun.

Another small photo. We are happy because we just started installing the new floor.

We got dressed up and went to the Shall we Dance fundraiser for the Angel Hair Foundation. This was such a fun event for a really great cause.

Wedding food. We are having the wedding catered by Market of Choice, a local grocery store. I was really impressed with the food presentation.

February to come, and maybe some house project details.
